2 What are Intelligent Optical Systems? Intelligent Optical Systems are the hardware and software integration of advanced adaptive optics and beam control architectures, elements and algorithms, smart sensors and parallel on-the-fly information processing techniques. Intelligent Optical Systems deliver optimal performance in harsh operating conditions. back to top

3 What are the Optonicus technical areas of expertise? Our technical areas of expertise include wavefront and beam control hardware, design and integration of adaptive optics systems, numerical simulation of atmospheric effects, conformal optical systems, advanced control and signal/image processing algorithms, and adaptive free-space laser communications systems. back to top

4 What kind of products does Optonicus offer? Our initial products are the INFOCO series of intelligent fiber collimators and arrays. This family of compact modules can be used either to adaptively collimate, point, steer, and stabilize an optical beam from the fiber's output, or to receive and adaptively-ready a collimated beam and focus the light into a fiber, without sensitivity to the angle of optical wave arrival sensing, optimal free-space fiber coupling, focal spot profiling and centroid sensing. back to top

We are currently conducting research for future product development in the areas of: AO & beam control hardware, numerical analysis of atmospheric optical systems, adaptive fiber-array systems, atmospheric effects mitigation in imaging, adaptive laser communications & laser tracking systems, and wavefront sensing. back to top

7 Is there anything to clarify that Optonicus doesn’t offer? We do not sell laser sources, opto-mechanical components, or traditional optics (lenses, prisms, mirrors, filters, etc.). back to top

8 What is unique about Optonicus' products? Our products are compact and deliver high performance in harsh real-world (e.g. heavy distortion) conditions. In particular, our products are well suited when system size, weight, and/or power consumption are important. back to top
